Julie
Hiltbrunner had access to jewelry-making tools since she was a child as her
grandfather had been a jeweler. Throughout her formative years Julie often created
jewelry for herself and friends. Although Julie has taken some professional
jewelry classes in soldering and stone setting, much of what she has
accomplished has been from self-directed study.
Julie
began silversmithing and selling her original sterling silver designs in 2006.
In 2008, Julie began doing business as Silversmyth (pronounced the same as “silversmith.”)
Much of Julie's recent design work
has been for clients around the country, bringing their ideas to life in the
modern classic style for which Silversmyth is known.
After
earning her BA from Saint Francis College ( now Saint Francis University) in
Loretto, PA and continued studies at University of New Mexico School of Art,
and Art Master's Academy in Albuquerque NM, Silversmyth's designer, Julie Hiltbrunner, spent 15 years as a
professional artist using oil
and acrylic mediums, showing and selling her artwork in Albuquerque, Dallas,
and Fort Worth.
Previous
showings of artwork by Julie have been displayed at Janis Bryant Art Centre, the Alpine
Gallery and Mo Martre in Fort Worth, the Continental Gallery in Deep Ellum and
the MAC (McKinney Avenue Contemporary) Gallery in Dallas, TX.
Previous
showings of Silversmyth jewelry have been at Heliotrope Gallery, Artful Hand,
Arts Fifth Avenue and at Artwalk in Mckinney, TX. Julie enjoys taking part in
Fort Worth Gallery Night and South Fort Worth, Inc's Arts Goggle and supporting
Arts Fifth Avenue, a non-profit organization dedicated to community arts.
